Abby Davis

Abby is currently in her second year of pursuing a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at the University of Iowa. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology in 2023, also from the University of Iowa. Abby is a current member of the American Counseling Association and their Counselors for Social Justice division.
Abby utilizes a person-centered, strengths-based perspective to counseling while incorporating other approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and other modalities throughout her education and clinical experience. Abby believes the counseling process can be both challenging and healing, and she aims to provide guidance, support, and encouragement toward achieving client goals and improving social connection.
Abby provides counseling for various mental health challenges, life transitions, interpersonal issues, and low self-esteem. She enjoys working with individuals of all ages and backgrounds, including those who have experiences trauma and those who live in rural areas. Abby welcomes individuals with disabilities, those int he LGBTQIA+ community, and people with various cultural and religious identities into a safe and supportive space.
