    Emma Madden (she/her)

    Mental Health Counseling Intern

    Emma is a second-year master’s student in the Clinical Mental Health Counseling program at the University of Iowa. She is expected to graduate with her Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling in May 2023, following which she will pursue licensure. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Iowa State University in 2021, along with a Bachelor of Arts in Art & Design. She is a current student member of the America Counseling Association (ACA).

    Emma has several years of experience in the human services field and has worked with a variety of populations including children and adolescents, individuals with disabilities, and unhoused people. Emma’s counseling philosophy is person-centered, with an emphasis on nurturing client growth, self-acceptance, and independence. Her areas of interest include creative and art therapies as well as trauma-informed practice.
