Kathy Fox, tLMFT
*currently accepting new clients*
Kathy graduated from Touro University with a Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy (tLMFT). In addition, Kathy has a BA in Psychology and Spanish, and a PhD in Spanish Language and Literature.
After a rewarding career teaching college Spanish (language and cultural studies), Kathy returned to school to pursue a new role as a psychotherapist. The shift to this role has allowed Kathy to use some well-honed skills, as well as many new ones, to continue a life of teaching and helping others.
Kathy works with adult individuals who seek self-understanding, growth, and heaping, often within the context of current and past relationships. Kathy has received training in Trauma and Complicated Grief, IFS Therapy, and Treating Trauma and Affairs, and is honored to work with those who are overcoming significant loss, adjusting to major life changes, healing from painful experiences or trauma, or seeking to understand themselves better in the context of their family of origin. Her integrative approach draws heavily from family systems theory, IFS-informed parts work, Psychodynamic theory, and grief and trauma-informed therapies.
Come as you are. With compassion and without judgement, Kathy loves working with motivated clients from all walks of life, cultures, identities, and with diverse problems or reasons for seeking help.
