    MWR’s Ask Me Anything: What Does My Therapist Think When I Cry in Session?

    As a therapist, there are times that people will apologize when they cry during sessions. However, when I see a client crying it shows that there is something emotional and raw being processed and experienced in that moment. I recognize how uncomfortable this can be for clients, but it is a very natural part of the therapeutic process! I always have tissues in my office for this reason.
