    Couples Counseling

Humans are social creatures. We naturally seek out connection with others, but this doesn’t mean relationships are easy! It is normal for stress and conflict to arise between two people and coming to counseling together provides an opportunity for you and your partner to understand each other better and develop healthy ways to communicate and resolve conflict. Whether you are dating, married, or divorced (because communication doesn’t always end when the relationship does!), our clinicians will work with you and your partner to assist you in achieving your goals for your relationship in a supportive and collaborative way.

We have experience supporting and guiding couples through a wide range of challenges including:

    • Conflict
    • Communication
    • Emotional and physical intimacy
    • Pre-marital counseling
    • Infidelity
    • Substance abuse
    • Adjustment to parenthood
    • Adjustment to separation/divorce
    • Co-parenting

MWR Counseling strives to provide affirming care to individuals and couples in the LGBTQ+ community, as well as those in various types of relationship orientations.
