    Annika Menges, t-LMHC

    Annika graduated from the University of Iowa in 2023 with a Master of Arts degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Annika also holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from the University of Iowa. She is a temporary Licensed Mental Health Counselor (t-LMHC) in the state of Iowa. Annika is currently a member of the American Counseling Association and their Counselors for Social Justice division.

    Annika strives to provide clients with a supportive, non-judgmental, and safe counseling space as they navigate self-discovery, healing and growth. She utilizes a strengths-based and person-centered counseling approach, while incorporating additional modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Adlerian Therapy techniques to promote client growth and goal achievement. Annika is also trained in Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) for the treatment of OCD. 

    Annika has experience working with individuals experiencing concerns including depression, anxiety, trauma, low self-confidence, low self-esteem, life adjustments and transitions, and familial and relational issues. She has an interest in working with reproductive and maternal mental health and is providing therapy under the supervision of Shannon Wilson, who is certified in Perinatal Mental Health. Annika welcomes children and adolescents over the age of 5 as well as adults for individual counseling.
