    Kristin Cannon, LMSW

    Kristin graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2018 with a Master of Social Work degree. She is a Licensed Master Social Worker in the state of Iowa. Kristin also earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology from Drake University in 2014.

    Throughout her career, Kristin has gained extensive experience working with individuals across various age groups in schools, homes, and the community. However, she possesses a special passion for working with adolescents, ages 12-17, as well as adults. 

    In her approach to client interactions, Kristin adopts a strengths-based and person-centered perspective. She firmly believes in meeting individuals where they are in their journey and providing the necessary support to help them explore and develop in the areas that hold significance for them. Kristin has experience in using play therapy and CBT in her work with clients. 

    In addition, Kristin is trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). Kristin uses this approach with clients who are experiencing PTSD or symptoms of traumatic stress, anxiety, depression, phobias, and interpersonal challenges.

    Kristin works with teens aged 12-17, as well as adults 18 and older, focusing on addressing concerns related to self-esteem, anxiety, depression, trauma, and life transitions.
