Laura is trained in ACT (including self-compassion strategies), somatic interventions that focus on the mind/body connection, IFS-informed parts-work, and Polyvagal Theory.
Laura’s hope as a counselor is to be a safe resource and support as clients navigate the challenges of their lives. She enjoys working with adolescents and adults who deal with the impact of lived trauma, experience neurodiversity including both ADHD and autism, and who may struggle with body image, weight stigma, and/or sexuality. In addition, Laura works with clients who practice nontraditional relationship structures such as ENM or polyamory, and she adamantly supports members of the LGBTQIA+ community, including advocating for the rights and equality of transgender individuals.
