Janey graduated with her Master of Marriage and Family Therapy degree from Mount Mercy University in 2023. Janey is a temporary licensed Marriage and Family Therapist through the state of Iowa.

Janey’s therapeutic values place an emphasis on client-centered approaches, allowing space for the client to decide the course of therapy. She believes in creating a safe space in which clients can work to align with their most authentic selves. Using a non-judgmental approach, Janey also works to incorporate therapeutic modalities including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Family Systems, Narrative Therapy, and Play Therapy. She has experience working with concerns including anxiety, depression, trauma, family conflict, infidelity, relationship issues, gender exploration, and sexual concerns. She is especially passionate about working with the LGBTQIA+ community, those in situations involving infidelity, and those experiencing sexual concerns. 

Janey works with clients aged 5 and older, offering individual, family, and couples counseling.
