Mackenzie earned her Master's in Marriage and Family Therapy from Mount Mercy University, as well as her bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Iowa. Mackenzie is licensed in the state of Iowa as a temporary Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (tLMFT).
Mackenzie’s passion lies in connecting with people on a deep, authentic level. She has always found joy in listening to individuals’ unique lived experiences and has found great fulfillment in witnessing personal growth and transformation.
Mackenzie approaches therapy with the belief that no two people are the same, and therefore, everyone’s process in the therapy room will look different. She strives to create a warm and compassionate safe safe for everyone, where clients feel encouraged to find their true selves. Mackenzie’s therapeutic style leans toward a collaborate and systemic approach using modalities such as Internal Family Systems (IFS), Narrative Therapy, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT).
Mackenzie’s clinical interests include anxiety, depression, relationship issues, family conflicts, eating disorders, body image issues, identity issues, and individuals going through life transitions. She enjoys working with adults, individuals 13 and over, couples, and families.
Mackenzie is practicing under the supervision of Molly Martin, LISW.
